Elastic scattering of pion by 4He and 12C

Description

Results are presented of calculations of π-4He and π-12C elastic scattering at 180 MeV using the single backscattering approximation method. πN scattering amplitudes are determined using both the sudden approximation and the fixed scatterer approximation
