On thermal stability of double sodium(potassium) and gadolinium sulfates
Description
For elucidating the character of thermal transformations of double sulfates Na2SO4xGd2(SO4)3x2H2O and K2SO4xGd2(SO4)3x2H2O monocrystal samples of these salts obtained by isothermal vaporization in systems Me2SO4-Gd2(SO4)3-H2O (Me=Na, K) are used. Thermal properties are studied by thermographic, thermogravimetric and X-ray phase analysis methods. Thermograms of double sulfates are of the same type. On heating curves two endothermal and one of each exothermal effect are revealed. Temperature intervals and the nature of revealed phase transformations are determined
