Magnetophonon resonance in indium arsenide under hydrostatic compression
- 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.
Description
Magnetoresistance of a n-InAs sample (n=1.6x1015 cm-3) has been measured in transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields to 120 at 300 Koe and under hydrostatic compression to 10 kbar. A shift in magnetophononoscillations with pressure towards strong magnetic fields has been revealed. From the shift of the magnetophonon oscillation extrema there has been found the baric coefficient with, 1) the gap width 1/epsilonsub(g) depsilonsup(g)/dP=(3.2+-0.2)%xkbarsup(-1) and 2) the effective mass on the conduction band bottom 1/msub(0)sup(*)xdmsub(0)sup(*)/dP=(2.9+-0.2)%xkbarsup(-1), where epsilon-the gap width, P-hydrostatic pressure, msub(0)sup(*)-effective mass of electrons. The values 1/epsilonsub(g) depsilonsub(g)/dP agree with the results of similar calculations of other authors
