Description

Crystal structure refinements of pure and deuterated Pd15P2 have been performed using Rietveld-type profile refinement techniques on neutron powder diffraction intensities. The positions and the degree of occupancy for the dissolved deuterium atoms were determined at 296 K and 500 kPa deuterium pressure. The deuterium atoms were found to occupy distorted tetrahedral interstices between the palladium atoms to an extent corresponding to the formula Pd15P2D0.46. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

(orig.)
