Phase transition, oxygen uptake and microcracking of polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7-δ

  • 1. ENSCI, Limoges (France)

Description

Two important aims in the processing of polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7-δ are full oxygen content and relaxation of stress so as to avoid microcracks. Ultrasonic measurements between room temperature and 950C were used to characterize the oxygen uptake and opening (or not) of microcracks for ceramic subjected to different processing cycles. Corresponding electrical data are also discussed
