Description
This paper reports that TRACS is a best estimate computer code for use in boiling water reactor nuclear power plant simulators. TRACS is based on TRACG which is the General Electric version of TRAC-BWR. It has been developed as a result of a cooperation between GE and TECHNATOM, and is the basis for the upgrade of the TECHNATOM SWR training simulator. The increased detail and realism in TRACS together with its fast numerical method extend the scope of the BWR training simulator to include abnormal transient such as loss of coolant accidents and anticipated transients without scram and training in emergency operating procedures
