The benzene ring-opening by mechanical activated Nd (Pr) at room temperature

Description

It is shown that break of C-H and C-C bonds with formation of metalloorganic intermediates takes place in hydrocarbons during lanthanide (Nd, Pr) fragmentation. Break of aromatic ring with formation of carbene active centers, leading to formation of linear polyconjugated polymers takes place in the case of benzene and toluene. 11 refs., 1 tab
