Electronic structure of non-transition element complexes

Description
The results of quantum-chemical calculations of the electronic structure of non-transition element complexes E = Li, Be, B, Te, I, etc.) are reviewed. Their X-ray emission and X-ray photoelectron spectra are analysed. General principles of the electron structure of such complexes are established. Most significant factors influencing the electronic structure of non-transition element compounds are discussed. The concept of d-orbitals and hypervalence bonds is criticized
