Natural radionuclides as tracers for measuring turbulent exchange and dry deposition in the environment
Description
It can be shown that the use of natural radio-nuclides as tracers in determining the turbulent diffusion coefficient (randon, thoron), the determination of the speed of deposition of aerosol particles (short-lived randon and thoron follower products) and determining the mean dwell time of the aerosol particles in the atmosphere is sensible and has advantages compared to other methods (time resolution, continuous measurement). Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass der Einsatz von natuerlichen Radionukliden als Tracer in der Bestimmung des turbulenten Diffusionskoeffizienten (Randon, Thoron), der Bestimmung der Depositionsgeschwindigkeit von Aerosolartikeln (kurzlebige Randon- und Thoronfolgeprodukte) und der Ermittlung der mittleren Aufenhaltsdauer der Aerosolpartikel in der Atmosphaere sinnvoll ist und verglichen mit anderen Methoden Vorteile (Zeitaufloesung, kontinuierlich Messung) birgt.
