On the measurement of the hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment

A new precise measurement of σ (e+e- → hadrons) at low energy is suggested, of particular relevance for the theoretical prediction of Aμ. The method proposed consists in colliding o((10-100) MeV) electrons from a superconducting linac with o((1-2) GeV) positrons of a conventional storage ring
