Description
Two different treatments (surgery and percutaneous transhepatic thrombosing) of 2 giant liverhaemangiomas are outlined by a casuistic. Surgery proves to be 3-fold more expensive than 'thrombosing' under sonographic guidance. Complete precautions decrease risk of bleeding or rupture of giant haemangioma. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Es werden zwei unterschiedliche Therapieformen (Operation und perkutane transhepatische Thrombosierung) zweier Riesenhaemangiome der Leber an Hand einer Kasuistik verglichen: Es zeigt sich, dass bei gleichartigem Ergebnis die Operation um den Faktor 3 kostenintensiver ist. Bei der perkutanen transhepatischen Thrombosierung mit absolutem Alkohol sind allerdings umfangreiche Sicherheitsmassnahmen zu treffen, um das Risiko einer iatrogenen Blutung bzw. Ruptur des Haemangioms zu mindern. (orig.)Additional details
