Surface protection of concretes in the special regime zone of the V-1 nuclear power plant
Description
The properties were measured of concrete surfaces, such as the structural characteristics of concrete surface porosity in both fresh and abraded concretes, tests of efficacious impregnation of concrete with epoxy resins, and centric tensile stress tests. Concrete in rooms exposed to radioactive environment and increased humidity and temperature was coated with Isolplast and with epoxy lacquers and enamels. Decontamination tests were made on coat samples. Safety and protection measures to be observed in work with paints are discussed. (M.S.)
