Description

A dynamical study of K+ production in proton-nucleus collisions from 1.2 to 2.5 GeV bombarding energy is presented. The evolution of proton-nucleus collision is described by a transport equation of the Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck type. All known sources for K+ production are incorporated and their momentum and angular distributions, and the excitation function are studied. It is shown, that at lower energies (Eb < 1.5 GeV) the Nδ and δ channels dominate the kaon yield for light systems. (author)
