TEM specimen preparation for the HFIR-MFE-RB1 experiment
Description
TEM specimens of the ferritic alloys HT-9, 9Cr-1Mo and 2 1/4Cr-1Mo have been prepared for inclusion in the HFIR-MFE-RB1 irradiation. The specimen matrix encompasses all the conditions being irradiated in the EBR-II AD-2 test. Additionally, the matrix includes specimens of HT-9 weld fusion zones and simulated heat-affected zones to study the microstructural response of weldments
