Description
13N-positron emission nuclide is produced by 16O (p,α)13N reaction in a small volume 16O-H2O target. The target solution is irradiated with 16.5 MeV beam of protons for 5-20 minutes and then reduced to 13N-ammonia using Devarda's Alloy. The activity of 13N-ammonia is 1.9-6.7 GBq, the radiochemical purity is more than 95% by HPLC, the concentration of carried-ammonia is less than 1 mmol/L, the specific activity is 4.4 PBq/mol
