This paper presents an opportunity to address the American Nuclear Society today on the topic of future trends in the regulatory and legislative aspects of radiation management. The author talks about radiation management from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's perspective. the primary area is the matter of minimizing the exposure of plant personnel to ionizing radiation. In that discussion, he speaks about recent experience of the industry from the NRC's perspective, the role that he believes NRC should play in reducing exposure to plant personnel, and the current proposal for revising 10 CFR Part 20 of the Commission's regulations
