Influence of Na deposition on convoy electron emission

Description
The influence of surface properties on convoy-electron emission from a sputter-clean Al foil induced by H+ has been studied under ultrahigh-vacuum conditions. It is found that the convoy-electron yield depends strongly on the Na coverage when the downstream surface is modified by controlled Na deposition. It can be concluded that an increasing yield is observed for larger work-function values

A influencia das propriedades de superficie sobre a emissao de eletrons em comboio de uma folha limpa salpicada de Al, induzida por H+ foi estudada sob condicoes de ultra alto vacuo. Descobriu-se que a producao de eletrons em comboio depende fortemente da cobertura de Na quando a superficie a jusante e modificada pela deposicao controlada de Na. Pode ser concluido que uma producao aumentada e observada para valores maiores de funcao trabalho. (M.C.K.)Additional details
