137Cs migration with ground water from Red Forest storage near the Chernobyl' NPP
Description
The results of studies on filtration of ground waters, contaminated with 137Cs, are presented. The studies were accomplished on the model of ground filtration section. The radionuclide transfer in the model is similar to the transfer under natural conditions. It is shown that soil contamination with 137Cs has two fractions with essentially different sorption characteristics. The transfer deceleration factor for the slow fraction equals 540 ml/s, which is in agreement with published data. This factor for the fast fraction is equal to 5 ml/g. The fast fraction concentration constitutes about 10-3 of the slow fraction concentration
