New simple method of determination of heavy-ion fusion cross section
Description
Heavy-ion fusion cross sections are deduced from classical dynamics on basis of qualitative information about the dissipative processes only. In the equations of motion the conservative interactions are only taken into account. The presented method simplifies considerably the numerical effort as compared to the frictional pocket model. Good agreement with experiment has been achieved without any adjustable parameters. Comparison with extra push model is presented. (author)
