Description
The upper critical field Hsub(c2) of Nb3Snsub(1-x)Alsub(x) compounds was measured by a pulsed and a d.c. magnet. An Hsub(c2) (4.2K) of 270 kG and 290 kG was obtained for Nb3Snsub(0.9)Alsub(0.1) and Nb3Snsub(0.1)Alsub(0.9), respectively. The data are consistent with the complete suppression of Pauli-paramagnetic limiting. The enhancement of Hsub(c2) is discussed with respect to the other physical parameters, such as the initial slope (-dHsub(c2)/dt)sub(Tc), the residual resistivity and the electron specific heat.
