Spheroidal potentials for Schroedinger equation. I. Characterization of a bound state

Description
Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions in order to insure one bound state of given (l,m) are obtained for spheroidal potentials using the phase approach: the results are valid for potentials function only of one variable. These results reduce asymptotically to the conditions of Jost-Pais and Calogero in the spherical case and can be useful to detect inversion in the introduction of levels of a given potential
Abstract (French)
Des conditions necessaires et des conditions suffisantes pour l'obtention d'un etat lie pour l'equation de Schroedinger sont obtenues en coordonnees spheroidales au moyen des equations de phase (equations de Riccati). La classe des potentiels envisages est restreinte aux potentiels dependant d'une seule variable. Ces conditions se reduisent asymptotiquement aux conditions de Jost-Pais et de Calogero etablies dans le cas spherique et peuvent etre utiles pour detecter des inversions dans l'introduction des niveaux d'un potentiel spheroidalAdditional details
