Structural conditions for attainment of maximum strength and plasticity in two-phase Be-Y and Be-Al materials

Description

Possibility of increase mechanical properties of brittle metals (chromium, molybdenum) was considered by not traditional ways of deep refining but precision construction of two-phase with the help of program introduction of preset amount of the second phase. This approach was used to two-phase materials on the base of beryllium. Experimental study was conducted on interrelation of values of structural elements (grains, second phase particles) and their dimentional parameters (mean free distance between particles and mean distance between particles) with mechanical properties of Be-Al and Be-Y two-phase materials. Relatationships of dimensional structural parameters in achievement of maximum values of strength and ductility were established
