Description
PNC is currently developing a scientific and technical basis for regulating geological disposal in Japan through generic assessment, taking into account a wide range of geological environments. The information required for the regulatory process is discussed, from the point of view of siting, repository design and setting the safety assessment framework. Key issues to be discussed in the regulatory process are identified in accordance with the aims of this workshop. (author)
