X-ray spectroscopy study of RMn2Si2 intermetallics
Description
Results of X-ray absorption studies of RMn2Si2 (R = La to Gd) intermetallic compounds are presented. Energies of the main absorption peaks are measured and shifts in energy of absorption edges are calculated and discussed. The extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) appearing on the high energy side of the main absorption discontinuities of Mn and R in RMn2Si2 have been utilized for the determination of Mn-Si and R-Si bond lengths
