Over 20 years' experience with stabilized stainless steel without IGSCC
Description
Experience with stabilized austenitic steels that do not undergo sensitization and are not subject to IGSCC is reported. The historical development is outlined and the causes of sensitization are dealt with. The specification of X6CrNiNb1810 steel is treated in detail.
