Influence of quasi-elastic channels on fusion
Creators
Description
Several experiments performed at Argonne National Laboratory to measure the strength of transfer reactions in heavy ion systems near the barrier are described. These experiments involve projectiles from silicon 28 to selenium 80 on a variety of targets between nickel 58 and lead 208. Data on cross sections, angular distributions, mass spectra and Q-values are presented. The main features of the transfer reactions are summarized including which are the strongest channels and what is their system and energy dependence
