Violation of Feynman scaling at superhigh energies

  • 1. Institute of Nuclear Physics, Moscow State University

Description

We investigate the violation of Feynman scaling in the fragmentation region of the incoming nucleon in nucleon-nucleon and nucleon-nucleus interactions at superhigh energies. The scaling violation is due to the increase of the average number of multiperipheral ladders produced when the energy of the incoming particle increases. The inclusive spectra on a nucleus with atomic number A (including A = 1) at high energy E are approximated by a linear combination of the inclusive spectra for the nuclei A and A1>A at accelerator energies. We have calculated the ratio of the structure functions at superhigh energies and at accelerator energies, which gives the magnitude of the scaling violation
