Analytical method for collision analysis applied to the Morse code
Creators
Description
In the present study a semianalytical method to estimate collision contributions at point detector has been developed and implemented in the MORSE code. The method is based upon the use of the secondary angular distribution in a multigroup formalism for neutron elastic scattering, the inelastic scattering probability matrix for neutron inelastic scattering and the analytical approximation for photon-atom differential scattering cross section proposed by Biggs and Lighthill. Restorage of Legendre moments for use by estimator routines is no more necessary in the modified version of the code which results in an important memory saving. The programming of the modifications has been done keeping the code's modular structure and dynamic storage allocation capabilities. (B.G.)
