Description

Information is supplied on the Czechoslovak Nuclear Programme in the field of food irradiation. The results of irradiating varieties of potatoes predominating in the CSSR, onions and mushrooms are summarized. Attention is also paid to the attitude of the Czechoslovak Health Authorities and to consumer trials. Further tasks towards the introduction of this technology on an industrial scale are discussed.
