Description
The radiolysis in the system of copper-water-free volume (air, oxygen, vacuum) is studied; the impact of metal on formation of the basic radiolysis products is determined. The copper corrosion rate in water under impact of gamma-radiation (1.8 Gy/s) increases by more than 30 times, with increase of free volume. The model based on the assumption that the hydrogen peroxide is the radiation corrosion initiator, is proposed for the qualitative description of the copper-water-air system radiolysis. In the presence of metal the radiolytical hydrogen yield increases almost by one order
