Effect of moderator D2O isotopic purity on CANDU-6 reactor core
Description
According to the operation data of other CANDU reactors and calculation results of time average model and real core model by RFSP code, the effect of moderator D2O isotopic purity on reactor core is analyzed for the CANDU reactors of TQNPC. The results show that moderator D2O isotopic purity has little effect on reactor safety, but high D2O isotopic purity may increase core discharge burnup and save fuel costs. (authors)
