A low-noise 4-channel GEM detector readout front ends

Description
This paper describes circuit design of a 4-channel low noise GEM detector readout ASIC chip for multi-layer Gas Electron Multiplier detector. Charge sensitive preamplifier, pole-zero cancellation circuit and Gaussian shaper are discussed individually according to the characteristics of output signal of GEM detector. Noise level and shaping time are also elaborated in detail. (authors)
