Mapping of land use for the preparation of (EPR) experimental power reactor development in the Puspiptek Region, Serpong

Puspiptek Serpong planned to be rebuilt to new research reactor facility called EPR (Experimental Power Reactor). In relation of the plan has done research on aspects of land use as one of the aspects to support the implementation of site evaluation in Serpong Puspiptek Region. Evaluation aspects of land use is done to meet the requirements in siting the reactor contained in IAEA NS-R-3 and IAEA Safety NS-G-3.2. In addition, it is also stated in Perka BAPETEN No. 5 In 2007, Perka BAPETEN No. 3 in 2008, and Perka BAPETEN No. 1 in 2010. Characteristics of the use of water and soil in the region should be considered in demonstrating the feasibility of the emergency response plan. The aim of the study is to conduct a detailed land use mapping (scale 1:10,000) Regional RDE-based high-resolution satellite imagery. So that the activities will be obtained geo spatial information of land use scale of 1:10,000 in 2014 at a radius of 0-20 km from the location of RDE. Mapping results indicate that the settlement has been dominating in the study site that covers a radius of 0-20 km. (author)
