Scattering lengths for pions on the lightest nuclei in multiple scattering theory
Description
The multiple-scattering-theory equations used to compute the pion-nucleus scattering lengths are modified. These modified equations are used to investigate the optical model, the ''closure'' approximation, as well as the effects of nucleon binding in the nucleus. The results are compared with the results of other papers and with experimental data
