Proceedings of the workshop on 'elucidation of the mechanism of high-Tc superconductivity by quantum beams'

  • 1. Japan Atomic Energy Agency, Quantum Beam Science Directorate, Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

A workshop entitled 'Elucidation of Mechanism of the High-Tc Superconductivity by Quantum Beams' was held on November 1st and 2nd, 2005 at Izura, in the north of Ibaraki prefecture. This is the first workshop by Grant-in-Aid for Specially Promoted Research of MEXT, Japan, 'Development of the 4 Spaces Access Neutron Spectrometer (4SEASONS) and Elucidation of the Mechanism of Oxide High-Tc Superconductivity' (FY2005-2009, repr. by M. Arai, JAEA). In the workshop, previous researches on the high-Tc superconductivity were reviewed, the recent progress was reported, and the future perspectives, especially about the study using quantum beams such as the high-intensity spallation neutron source in J-PARC, were discussed by 30 first-class scientists. This report includes abstracts and materials of the presentations in the workshop. (author)
