Description
Statistical analysis carried out on 1068 borehole sludge and core samples from mineralised horizons of the Domiasiat uranium deposit revealed that 60% samples indicate radioactive disequilibrium in favour of uranium, 30% in favour of radium while remaining 10% show secular equilibrium. It was also observed that with the increase in grade, there is a tendency for increase in the percentage of disequilibrium in favour of uranium. The present study deals with some aspects of disequilibrium which have important bearing on the proper evaluation of the deposit. (author)
