Spectral properties and persistent currents of small metallic clusters
Creators
Description
The effects of surface roughness and confinement on the spectral properties of bidimensional metallic loops threaded by a magnetic flux are analyzed. At half filling, the existence of localized border states is shown. At zero flux, these states are degenerated with energy very close to zero. They belong to different conduction channels and as a consequence, a coherent contribution to the persistent current is obtained
