Description
The paper reviews briefly extensive operating experience with wet steam turbines and discusses the features of current designs that have been influenced by this experience and by advances in steam turbine technology generally. The importance of steam cycle optimisation, high internal efficiency, exhaust annulus area and the influence of system frequency are discussed. (author)
