Description
This pilot project was carried out for the purpose of testing methods for active biological monitoring. It covered a period of three years (until September 1994), including two years of exposure. The measurements served to determine pollutant levels in plants used as animal fodder and dust-borne heavy metal concentrations in different sites and, on this basis, to obtain indirect information on human exposure. Among others, the pilot project investigated the suitability of Italian rye-grass as a biological indicator for aluminium, arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, iron, mercury, magnesium, manganese, nickel, lead, platinum, antimony, titanium, and zinc. Das ''Pilotprojekt Wirkungsmessung - aktives Biomonitoring von Immissionswirkungen im Untersuchungsgebiet Muenchen'' hat die Erprobung von Methoden des aktiven Monitoring zum Ziel. Es erstreckt sich ueber einen Zeitraum von drei Jahren (bis September 1994) und schliesst zwei Expositionsjahre ein. Neben Rueckschluessen auf die Belastung von Futterpflanzen koennen Vergleiche zwischen den staubgetragenen Schwermetallbelastungen verschiedener Standorte gezogen und daraus wieder indirekt auf die Belastung des Menschen geschlossen werden. Das Pilotprojekt untersucht unter anderem die Eignung des Weidelgrases fuer die Erfassung von Aluminium, Arsen, Cadmium, Cobalt, Chrom, Kupfer, Eisen, Quecksilber, Magnesium, Mangan, Nickel, Blei, Platin, Antimon, Titan und Zink.
