QED investigation of muonic molecule formation
Description
The authors investigated the formation of muonic molecules in the framework of QED. While is is a Born type approach the authors calculate the direct field theoretic formation probability between initial fee and final bound states. The momentum distributions they obtain, between the interacting particles introduces additional terms over the direct Born, and they are also able to take distortion effects into account. The authors modified their previous work for the 0 = 0 final state and extended it to the 0 = 1 state. This is for the Auger process. The authors are also extending their method to describe the resonant formation rate in an analytic manner
