Physicochemical properties of lithium tetrafluoroborate solutions in 1,2-dimethoxyethane

Description
Solutions of lithium tetrafluoroborate in 1,2-dimethoxyethane in the temperature range from -40 to +50 deg and concentrations from 10-5 to ∼2 mol/kg of a solvent have been studied by the methods of conductometric titration, densiometry, viscosimetry and time measurement of spin-lattice relaxation of 7Li nuclei. The presence of unusual sections of increase of equivalent electric conductivity with increase of solution concentrations as well as with temperature decrease. The degree of association and a part of contact ion pairs in LiBF4 solutions in tetrahydrofuran and 1,2-dimetoxyethane have been estimated and compared
