Laser processing of high-temperature superconductors

Description
Various methods of the laser processing for both large polycrystalline specimens and thin HTSC films are considered, such as ablation, modification, metallization, oxidation. The studies of the HTSC laser synthesis are reviewed including those on the thin superconducting filament fabrication as well as the works on the laser microstructuring. Good prospects for the HTSC laser processing methods and their competitiveness in the HTSC technology are shown. 81 refs.; 11 figs
