High-energy cosmic-ray observation and dark matter search

  • 1. Tokyo Univ., Inst. for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, Kashiwa, Chiba (Japan)

Description

The presence of dark matter in our Universe is one of the biggest mystery in the modern cosmology as well as particle physics. I will give a review on how dark matter can be searched through observation of high-energy cosmic rays. In particular I will focus on the recent PAMELA result on the positron fraction and its implication for dark matter. (author)
