Structural and spectral manifestation of anion-cation interaction in salts of mixed P-W-H heteropolyacids. Crystal structure of Cs5[PCo(H2O)W11O39]·3H2O

X-ray diffraction study of Cs5[PCo(H2O)W11O39]·3H2O (1) heteropolycompound (HPC) tetragonal crystals, sp.gr.P42/ncm, a=b=20.810(7), c=10.397(2) A, Z=4, was carried out. The structure contains the Keggin-type heteropolyanion (HPA). Besides salt 1 HPC of the same anion with tetramethyl-(2) and tetrabutylammonium (3) were prepared. Analysis of the Raman and IR spectra of compounds 1-3 shows that the influence of cation nature on position and relative intensities of bands in the spectra is commensurable and sometimes it exceeds the similar influence as a result of HPA composition change
