Description
Development of hydrogen infrastructure will become an important issue at an early, introductory, stage of fuel cell-powered vehicles (FCVs). As a measure to speed up formation of this infrastructure, an effective energy system is considered in which a hydrogen fueling station that supplies hydrogen to FCVs also supplies energy to neighboring housing, specifically stationary fuel cells (SFCs). In research introduced in this paper an evaluation of the effectiveness of such an energy system was carried out by simulation. As a result, it has been established that from the viewpoints of reductions in both primary energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions an energy system supplying hydrogen to both FCVs and SFCs is superior to a system supplying hydrogen only to FCVs.
