Description
This work is conceptuated both as accompanying and deepening literature for the course. Because of long standing teaching experience it succeeds for the author to mediate easily understandably the theme starting from its elementary foundations until complex connections. Supplementing to the usual quantum-mechanical treatment of atomic structure mostly is cared about the presentation of experimental regularities. Modern knowledges like the Bose-Einstein condensation, interferometry with matter waves, as well as the comception of quantum informatics on the base of ion traps are illustratively explained in the second part. After the chapters follow summaries and extending-literature informations. Numerous exercise problems make possible the immediate check of the learned.
