Charge transfer in arcs initiated by disruptions in tokamaks
Description
A theoretical model is described which evaluates charge transfer in arcs during disruptions in tokamaks. Charge transfer is studied, as a function of the parameters characterising the disruption effect, by analysing the circuit through which the arc current flows. Comparison is made with experimental data to validate the model and predictions are given for an INTOR-scale tokamak. (orig.)
