Description

An account of the research conducted at the Solid State Physics Laboratory, Delhi, India, is given. Detailed investigations have been carried out on silicon, gallium arsenide, gallium phosphide, cadmium telluride crystals, ferrites and garnets, calcium tungstate and alkali halides. A few solid state laser and optical devices designed in this laboratory are briefly described. (K.B.)
