Co-60 can be produced by Co-59 adjusters replacing stainless steel adjusters in CANDU reactor reactivity control setting. This paper introduces Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Company succeed in Co-60 production depending on domestic technical supports. The Co-60 producing process, configuration design, nuclear design, pyrology safety, accident analysis, Co-59 adjusters research, etc., is also introduced in this paper. (authors)
