Oxozirconium(IV) complexes of octamethylpyrophosphoramide

Description
Octamethylpyrophosphoramide (OMPA) complexes of ZrO(IV) with formulae ZrOX2.OMPA (X=Cl, Br, I, NO3 NCS, NCSe or BPh4) and ZrO(ClO4)2.2OMPA have been isolated and characterized by molecular weight determination, conductance and IR spectal studies. IR reveals the metal linked to the ligand via O-O chelation. The coordination number of the Zr(IV) is either five or seven depending on the nature of the anion present. (author)
